Ever go to one of their console gaming sessions? Possibly one of the most depressing gaming experiences of my life :D
Nah, probably best organising something like that yourself, I dunno, buy an ethernet hub and just play with a few people you know like the same games as yourself eg CS.

Ahhh Anima, good luck with computer games in maynooth.
Gaming (aside from tabletop/card/etc) is utterly dead, really need to start up a LANsoc, been a while since I've mopped the floor CS-style

Sounds good, be nice to get a few games going.

Minds used to run LANs regularly enough, but the soc has been having issues with getting people to organise things for them over the last few years, as well as retaining active members. There seems to be some effort going into a revival now though, what with the Facebook and twitter pages they've set up, so they might be of some use for gaming in the coming year.

Minds usually gets at least one LAN every few months, but as it's on campus, it won't be a 24 hour LAN, but an all day LAN.

For what it's worth, there's sometimes a 48 hour LAN in the Spa Hotel, Lucan, which is nearby, and you can get to it by bus from Maynooth.

I remember reading about Minds/lans before I came to maynooth, was looking forward to it, ended up forgetting about it for a year though, and then last year the forum/website seemed to be dying?
Will have to join up this time so :pac:
