Tried those dealextreme one's before not the best at all. Sound is pretty poor out of them.

Anyone know if the sennheiser one's will fit into the 1st gen iphone?
Trying to find a good pair that will actually fit in the stupid narrow jack!!

I think the quality varies from time to time. Some batches are good, some are awful. Mine have been alright so far, much better than anything youd pick up in a bricks and mortar shop here for under €15.

Mine came today from mymemory. Unimpressed at first listening - wondering if the white creative ones that came with my cheap flash mp3 are better tbh.

Maybe its the whole in ear thing.

play with the EQ, bass is far too strong in my old cx300s but with adjustment, they can sound fantastic. also make sure they are rammed in right into your ear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,854 ✭✭✭✭noodler

I think ramming them kinda helped. I thought it was better by increasing the bass on the MP3 player actually?

I thought it was established the 500s were better.

Alot of cardboard alright but don't see how that makes them in any way fake. Just whats needed to keep them safe. Also there a couple of enviormentally friendly stickers on the cardboard you may have missed.

Thirty sheets of cardboard enviormently friendly? anyway mx500 6 years old, better sounding, these lack bass big time

Come on! the fact the packaging is nothing but cardboard is whats environmentally friendly i.e. no plastic!

I pumped up the bass on my MP3 player a bit and it helped.

I also increased the quality of some of my Atrac files last night in case they are so good theat they are making the low quality ones sound crap! (wishful thinking perhaps)

Just got mine, not as impressed as I'd hoped to be.

The sound is cleaner and bassier than the DX ones, and there is less disortion at full volume. It doesnt seem worthy of the price difference though, but that might just be because the DX ones are very good value to begin with.

Ridiculous packaging too. Also, comes with a little bag to hold them in, I was hoping for a box type thing a friend had got with a fake set.

Just got one delivered, nice sound, rich and deep, but need to get used to fitting after sony €10 ones.

Can anyone else hear interference at lower volumes?

Got these earlier in the week - good find OP. Very happy with them, sorted out the best fitting at the start, and it makes all the difference. They sound great.

I've used various Sennheiser headphones on a daily basis over the last few years, and these sound great IMO. They're obviously not as good as headphones, but for in-ear phones, they're brilliant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 277 ✭✭Griffin87

i bought the the first version of these phones less than 6 months ago and they have died on me,

mymeory have offered me a rma but they want to post the headphone to them in jersey. an post is real expensive i rememeber sending a motherboard back to komplett which is beside dublin airport and i think it was close to €8.

mymemory will only refund a max of £0.75 on delivery charges

does anyone have any recommendations on what comapny to use to send the headphones back to them.

How long did it take for them to deliver? Still waiting on mine and I ordered them nearly 2 weeks ago!

I bought 3 pairs (€54). Got a notice in the door that customs want to charge me €17.15! I'm sick. I didn't realise that the limit was so low. I don't want to pay that much in total.

If I ignore the notice, an post will return them to mymemory. Does anyone know would I still get charged by customs? I'd say mymemory would give me a refund once they recieved them back. Has this happened to anyone? What do you guys think?

Thats a bitch alright. If you ordered them separately over the course of a week or two you would have been grand. As there is free shiping their isnt really any reason to get them all together and get stung by customs.

Easy to say in hindsight though.

Even if you put through 3 orders at the same time they still deliver separate and keep below the limit for customs. I have often ordered 3 Bluray's separate and all get shipped separate.

Sorry to hear about the OP getting done for customs - it really does annoy!

You are liable for any customs charges incurred on your end. As far as I know, although they might not, they would be completely right to keep your cash.

Hi noodler, so even if an post send them back so I never receive them, customs still will want their money yeah? I haven't paid the charge yet. Maybe your only liable for items you actually have received or acepted??

I am pretty sure the company doesn't have to refund you.

I don't think you have to pay customs tho if you don't accept the goods. I am unsure whther the gov just keeps the goods or sends them back tho.

    Ring them and ask.

I bought mine in HMV about three months for €49.99. If this could go through easily then I would order another few sets, maybe 3 or four to give as presents and in case the ones I have like Griffin87 die. The bass is fantastic and sound quality is excellent. Is it worth getting considering the saving or is it too much hastle with customs and all that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,854 ✭✭✭✭noodler

I wonder if mymemory sent me a fake/broke pair. I think they sound below average.

As others have said, just buy 1 set at a time.

The other hassle for me is having to get to South City Parcel Office D.12. You can't pay custom charges at your local post office and you can only pay by cheque (who uses cheques these day's?) or cash!! So I have to make my way out there. Wasting my time too

I picked mine up from an post (paid customs). It was a pain in the neck had to get the bus, luas, 20min walk there and then the same back again. Rant over.

Anyway I'm quite happy with the sound from them, the are better than the Sony MDR-EX51 I have atm.
