Inglorious bastards language

    Hi,

    I would be grateful if someone could inform me how much German and French are in Inglorious bastards. Over here the film all the film will be subtitled in Swedish so if there is significant quantities of German and French it not be worthwhile going here.

    There is quite a bit - some lenghty sequences are entirely French and/or German. Bits of English (especially when the Basterds are on screen) but not worth it if you don't have subtitles - you'll likely be missing a good 50-60% of the movie.

    I'm watching it now and it's got russian subtitles, I though it was normal, the film seems to jump from language to language...

    Busted! :D

    As was mentioned there is lengthy dialogue in three languages in just one scene. So could get very very messy.

    It's meant to be in russian, there speaking in french with german speaking jews under the table and the subtitles are in russian, it makes perfect sense....i'm kinda sad not to see StuntMan Mike in the movie with a beetle murdering all the jew hunters...pity, could have been a great film....:(

    Well if you do not understand German and French and cannot read Swedish, then forget it.
    Don't bother going as you will miss great chunks of the film.
    It probably wasn't half in subtitles, but it sure felt like it. I'd actually be interested to know.

    Well if you speak Russian that's fine. But I didn't see any Russian in the version I saw, in the cinema.
