Downloading Youtube videos for music

Not sure if this is the right forum but here it goes. There are a couple of live music videos on youtube that I would like to put on ipod as mp3 music files. I downloaded the videos into realplayer but I have no idea what to do next. Would love to get this working so any help really appreciated.

I use youtube downloader - first you download the file then convert to mp3 - easy! http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/download.htm

here's a neat trick

create a shortcut with the following url

javascript:if(document.location.href.match(/http:\/\/[a-zA-Z\.]*youtube\.com\/watch/)){document.location.href='http://www.youtube.com/get_video?fmt='+(isHDAvailable?'22':'18')+'&video_id='+swfArgs+'&t='+swfArgs}

Give it aname such as

Download Youtube and place it on your shortcuts tool bar. Now navigate to any utube video page and click on the shortcut, it will download the video (you may have to rename it to something.flv or whatever)
