one nightclub towns?

Carlow has some good pubs but the nightclubs are lacking.

Portlaoise has two nightclubs:Egans and Club.They are both ok but It is full of degenerate scum.

anyone notice a recurring theme here.....every nightclub in every town seems to be full of "scum."

Yeah I would reccomend Portlaoise too. Great craic in the town on a Sat night. Glad someone mentioned Bunclody, was great when your 17 and has to be seen to be believed!

Gweedore has a newly opened one, Voodoo, but I think there is another one.

Buncrana has Liberties.

I'd recommend Portlaoise for pubs only. Club 23 is a fcuking barn and Egans is like Beirut most nights.

Carlow actually has 4 clubs The Foundry, The Temple, Nexus and Cosmo Browns each one is a dump.

The only place to drink in Bunclody is The Moss House. The rest should be blown up.

If i'm going drinking for a weekend i always head for Roscommon/Leitrim lovely people and good crack.

The limelight is worth 40 other down the country clubs. Hasn't Donegal town just one creche these days and what about Ballybofey and Killybegs?

Neither Nexus nor Cosmo Browns exists anymore.
They haven't for... a very long time.

The foundry is actually very decent now.
Temple is still crap.

I'd say where I live, Leixlip, but the nightclub (Zinc, formerly The Ozone *cringe*) is pretty crap. Go another 5 mins down the road and you're in Maynooth and I'd recommend Mantra.
Mix of all different ages of people and all different decades of music to cater for nearly everyone.
Not to mention the venue is top quality and it would appear they only hire good looking people!

Cavan Town. 2 great nightclubs , been getting strict with id recently due to the gardai.

If you haven't been , you should definitely go for it.

I was also gonna say Ardee as well when I saw this topic, I went out their once for a friends birthday in School was a really good night but it was only after it had ended that I realised there was no taxi rank to get me and my mates back to Dundalk waited around for 2 hours for a lift.

Maynooth has TWO nightclubs now though even though ive been in Maynooth 3 years now and I have NEVER been in Fizz though cant wait to go to the new Nightclub when I move back down their next month.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned but Nenagh in Co. Tipperary is great for a night out. There's only one proper nightclub (Maximus) and the smaller pubs are great too. I recommend The Talbot, some great live music in there from time to time.

Bantry in west Cork.

Good few pubs, one epic nightclub.

You find all sorts in there ; sixteen year olds on nights out with their mothers, old men standing in corners on their own... hilariously entertaining! :pac:
