Wedding Venue-Slieve Russell Hotel

    Hey,

    Thinking about booking The Slieve Russell hotel for my wedding next year. It looks amazing but just looking for a bit of feedback on it before I go ahead and book it as I've never been to a wedding there.

    I dont have a lot of info for you but my sister used to work for Quinn and so would go and stay there alot. She loved it, thinks its a fabulous hotel. Have no idea what it would be like for a wedding venue but I'm the same as you, thinking about booking it for ourselves. Have you been in touch with them yet? Just wondering with the recession and all, are venues now going to offer reductions on price etc. Let me know how you get on. It has a good reputation anyhow, I'm from that neck of the woods!

    it's a nice hotel but they can have up to 3 weddings a day there, often across the hall from each other

    Thanks McCabe. Have visited the hotel a few times and it is fabulous. Had a look around and met with a rep so I think its a winner. I found great wedding deals on their website if you are thinking about it. It is going to cost us €9,900 all in so I don't think we can turn that down at the moment. :)

    Have been told that we will be the only wedding that day if we book but if there is high demand they can put another on which I'm not too impressed by as the function rooms are really all along the same corridor. But hopefully fingers crossed it works out.
