I changed from .22lr to .22wmr. Some FO's will stamp the old licence on the spot but mine had me waiting about 5-6 weeks:eek:. He claimed he would need to go to the gun shop and inspect the .22wmr to make sure it was what the dealer claimed it was. Six weeks and about 45 hounding calls to FO later I got licence amended.

When I went into the shop to collect the new gun, the dealer told me that nobody came in to examine the gun.

So in short you can change from .22 to .22mag, but with the new licence system just getting going who knows how long you'll be waiting and what, if any, hoops you'll need to jump through:rolleyes:

    A hugh ammount depends on your F.O., i changed from a .22LR to a .223..
Stamped up there and then on the spot.

I wouldn't mind having an FO like that. Mind you I think those days are gone now with the new 3 year licence system, and having to fill out FAC1 form for any amendments.
