Hahahahahaha, I thought that was taken down! That was done aaaaaaages ago as part of a communications project in college. We had to record ourselves talking for a number of minutes about something and then build a system to transfer the data around a cabin and across a wireless system. I was a tad drunk/hungover at the time and I needed it for the next day so I just propped the camera they gave us on top of some books and ranted about whatever was on tv like a wannabe Charlie Brooker. My evil-ass ex put it online with my the football videos I had on my account for her mates to laugh at.

It's a horrible, awful video and I curse you for finding it. I'll leave it up there for another week for you all to guffaw at before I have it deleted. Turns out there's more on there that haven't been deleted either. It's not even nearly the most embarassing video of me to appear online. They've all been taken down since (hopefully) but this one deserves to be laughed at big time so I'll leave it for a while.

I have an iPhone and I've had at least ten people in work come to me for help with their fake iPhones. Long story short, you can't get a full spec iPhone for a fraction of the price. You can't even get a full spec phone. They're dirt and everyone who got one regrets it.
    Besides, option a)
Go to O2 and get an actual iPhone for ~€180.
    Option b)
Get a disappointing fake one for ~€150 and realise you could have gotten the above or even a regular phone plus a small MP3 player and been far better off.

    Stop supporting communism.

The trouble is the vast majority of alternatives to these products are woeful. Just truly woeful.

... and every single one of them of any worth is built by another massive corporation. Zune? Microsoft. Zen? Creative Labs.

Motorola and Samsung are the same, as is Sony. I'm afraid young padawan, if you want to have something of quality you'll just have to give up your world of hemp trousers and beaded car seats and go to a big name brand.

    All hail the iPod!

Dont touch a Moto tbh. Utter cr@p. Creative may be a big corporation, but they make great stuff at very reasonable prices most of the time. Sony are kiniving gits agreed, but SE phones really top the market for sub 400 euro phones(prepay prices) with the only real flaw being a few small bugs in their OSs for the last few years, which they deny exists:rolleyes:

TBH though, apple did one great thing though. The camera in the 3GS. That is a super little thing. Hope SE incorporate similar into the next in the C line.

forget cameras, bluetooth, flippy keyboards etc etc.

the iphone wins because its simply the best phone OS ever made. perfectly stable, fast and easy to use. all the key things you'd want from an OS. the next best thing comes in the shape of Nokia buy with symbian OS it doesnt have a patch on the iPhone's one.

Basically you're saying not to get it because it's popular. By that logic, people shouldn't buy Toyotas anymore. Or Heineken. Or eat steak. Or drink coffee. See where I'm going with this?
People like the iPhone because it's the best in it's class. It's popular because it does everything and it does it well. In the iPhone, Apple filled a market niche so perfectly that other manufacturers are rushing out copies and catch-up technology updates. It does everything you want it to do, plus more, and it can be made into any kind of tool/guide/reference you want via apps. It's popular because it's the best.

Besides, I thought the popular thing these days was for people who didn't have iPhones to hate them? "Stop following the crowd like a sheep".

TBH, when I actually look at, my above doesnt apply now. But it used to. Up to the iPhone/iTouch, all their media players succeeded on aesthetics. Better performing and cheaper products were available but iPods were in.

Nowadays though, apple has used the sales of the original pod and created something ahead of other devices. It is better. But 16GB maximum is a big let down in my eyes, I have 8 in my phone, and I cant justify upgrading to a bigger heavier device for the sake of a load of features that I dont need :)

the current Iphone can be bought in 32gig too.

Thats the most sensible thing I've ever heard you say. Or type :)

I cant stand these idiots who upgrade to the newest thing just because its new. If you dont need the features, keep what you have.

Unless it gets nicked and you claim the insurance and get a brand new 3Gs instead of the 3G you were expecting :D

A question for IPhone user's, do you actually use much of those features and applications?

TBH I just have some yoke from Vodafone that can call and text and nothing else that cost €40
