Fetac, Moduals and Nightmares!

    Hey Everyone!

    Basically, I got my Fetac results and I got 3 distinctions, 3 Merits and a Pass. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control (I.e. My laptop hard drive corrupting) I lost one of my projects and thus a module.

    Fetac say a full award is 8 modules but I only have 7 BUT I have met the WIT minimum for Arts which is "Any 3 distinctions" - My million euro question is, without the other grade, can I still get into WIT?

    Answer as soon you can peeps! I'm panicking!

    Hey Sugar,

    That AFAIK depends on the module, like work exp, MS word and Communications require a pass... but that is only AFAIK could be wrong, i have been known to make mistakes before...

    thats the number for the School of Humanities... I recomend giving them a bell =D

    I got a distinction in MS Word, Communications and a Pass in Work Exp. :)

    then i think, THINK, you should be ok i know when i did my PLC i failed one module (math at 9am on monday? good one, who goes to that!) but was still offered my place in UCC.

    But deffo give em a ring, better safe than sorry =D

    I think i know what the problem is you are applying for an arts degree often people do a fetac arts cert an as alternative to having arts in the leaving cert as far as i can remember you do a portfolio and then show it to wit in a interview when applying now that you have failed one might be the problem such a problem may not arrive in other fetac applicants but because u are applying for art
