Running joke with some friends, a "Sheldon moment" is specifically that kind of thought. It's basically the "someone on the internet is wrong" thought but without the keyboard warrior flaming and with far more construction materials.

What's equally nerdy is that you knew what I was talking about.

I'm at peace with my nerdiness in a way that many airsofters are clearly not.

    EDIT:
Anyway, I'm a computer science student. There's nowhere for me to hide, really.

Or were you too wrapped up in pimping yourself to all-and-sundry via the medium of newsprint?

hmm, you may actually have a point for once...

    lol

Meh, we're all nerdy in our own particular ways.

Me? In no way am I nerdy.......honest.......

<edit> I'm a bit sad today. My car died on the way home for the bank holiday weekend. Left me stranded just after Dunkerrin. I'm sad 'cause I had to hang around Dunkerrin for 2 hours waiting for a tow-truck (and I thought rural Clare was depressing, how wrong I was).

Now I have to get the 75 over to Rathfarnham to work....sigh....

You can't beat a bit of Kevin St in fairness, granted I was only ever in the place for about 8 months but it did the job.

Yes! Just PM me your bank account details, sort code, credit card number, laser card number and your paypal login and password and I will transfer the monies from Cousin Benson to your account immediateleh.

Credit card number and PayPal? I assume you're just applying aircraft principles and going for a redundant back up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,090 ✭✭✭jill_valentine

    That's just silly.

Everyone knows Laser Cards don't exist on the internet.

Yeah, it figures if I can bleed as much money as I can from all his accounts, then I can buy that Omega Seamaster watch that I want....really badly....as in no food for 2 years, walk the 6 miles to work, live in a pram kind of want.

Ask Richie, he might be able to, I believe the local parlance is "hook you up". He has a habit of "finding" expensive, small items, like watches, just lying around apparently. Clearly he descended from the gatherer gene, rather than the hunter.
He has promised to bring me in the keys to an Alfa 147. This I don't doubt for a minute. I do, however, doubt I'll ever see the vehicle to which said keys are paired.

No Dex, you'll see it, barrelling down the M50 doing a ton, then it reappearing as a coke can. I'd love to see you start that.

You could wander through parking lots across the country pressing the lock and unlock button until you find it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,656 ✭✭✭deepimpact

or you could try one of the Garda impound lots for the broken remains of the car you just paid a few grand for to a dodgy bloke...I mean Richie

    QFE

Frankly, his "junkie shuffle" is a bit too convincing, and his abilities with a Stanley knife and long-shafted screwdrivers go worryingly far beyond the workbench.

No doubt I'll see it. But will I see it before or after it's burned out/up on blocks? Or will I even see all of it at once? (Though given it's an Alfa, I'd likely be better off keeping the individual parts to have as spares when each and every single thing on the car fails.)

oi, I'll have you know that I can be quite the strongly-worded letter type.....oh wait

Clarkson described them best, alfas are designed to be very very good, for a very very short amount of time
