what happens if you leave early

    i recently upgraded to digital+ with upc would this mean that i have a further one year contract with them or can i leave and change to sky with no problems?

    Check your contract. It would be very unusual if it was not a 12 month contract. You will have to pay to exit early but it may not be the full sub cost.

    thats the thing i have been a customer for 3 years and upgraded over the phone so i never signed anything

    An agreement by phone not challenged in 7 days is a contract.

    Maybe not, you have 30 days after a price increase to cancel, and they tend to announce price increase at the end of november for Jan 1st, so (assuming thye do a price increase this year) you can give 30 days notice at the start of december, but you musy cite the price increase as the reason.
