fag prices?

    hi all, i'm a smoker and i always smoke superkings. normally i pay 7.95 for a pack but i have just come back from the shop and got charged 8.10.

    my questions are

    1) did the fags go up in the last 24 hours?

    2) do all retailers have to charge the set price by law? (i thought this was the case)

    3) is it legal for a shop to put the price up after ,say,11pm?

    comments or advice would be welcome. i know its only 15 cent but it bugs me.

    All retailers must charge the minimum price for a pack of 20 which is €7.65 by law.

    Of course, with the above exception shops can charge whatever they like. A lot of petrol stations bring down petrol prices at night to entice custom, while pubs and clubs often increase the price on the door or for drinks after a certain time.

    its really a shortened version of superman but my mates all spelt it wrong and it just kinda stuck lol.

    The min price is now €7.75 from 20th July.
    On the same date John Player (who own the rights to sell superkings in Ireland) increased the recommended retail price for their Superking and Lambert and Butler ranges
