I walk to work as of 2 weeks ago,so dunno the regulars yet,but at my old bus stop was-The Odd Couple-an old married couple who wore the same clothes every day and never spoke to each other
Smokey Joe-in the 5 minutes I would be waiting for the bus, she'd smoke up a storm
Business Tramp-a young lady who wore really smart jackets, with really really short skirts and dangerous looking stilettos
    Senorita-she was always reading a Spainish/English dictionary along with a novel,in Spainish

I walk to school every morning with my neighbour and I now know everyone on the morning run. First off, there's the truck carrying the pigs to the slaughter every Monday morning to cheer me up about my life. It leaves a rotten smell of **** after it though.
Then there's the lads who go around in that truck every morning cleaning the gutters, always a friendly salute.
One time for about a month there was an elderly priest living in one of the houses. He stopped me dead in my tracks one morning for a chat. He asked us about our school and sports, and asked us to cheer up and not worry about exams or anything, it's too short. He apparently thought we were glum so we had to smile to get away from him lol! He was a nice ole fella though, I dunno what happened to him.
For about a month and a half there was a dead cat at the side of the footpath in a hedge and we got an exciting day-by-day view of mammal decaying until it was mysteriously disposed of.
Every morning there's a woman walking down the road to work, and she FLIES it. She is the fastest walker I've ever seen. One icy winters day, I slipped on ice, landed on my arse and she asked was I alright. That was about all the communication we ever had.
Every evening walking home in 2nd year (don't walk home straight after school anymore) there was a rather attractive older girl infront of us. We never worked up the guts to talk to her. :(

Walking to school/work gets more routine as you do it, and if you leave at a consistent same time you'll meet the same people in their morning routine too.

I live literally 30 seconds from work and usually meet one of the local crazies along the way.

I can tell if I'm early or running late by how far down the street I pass certain people.

Yeah same, I see the same people every day on my way to school and know if I'm early or late by where they are. It helps when you forget a watch!!

Stand beside the same people each day at the platform and, not knowing their names, have made up nicknames for them. There's a Radio Girl for the girl who plays her music so loud that I can hear the words of the host spilling from her headphones. Or there's Lemons, who always has the most sour look on her face in the morning (I've never seen her smile).

    Lemons! Brilliant! :D
