    I run in a waterproof jacket that also controls the excessive lateral motion of my arms. I went to a specialist shop to get my arm action analysed. The guy there was very knowledgable and told me that I needed to get this Asics jacket that kept my arms moving in a forward/backward motion rather than across my chest. I don't know how I got by without this until now but it's something I'd recommend to all runners.

    Would you need a special dry-weather jacket as well to help with the arm motion control when it's not raining? Do they do arm motion control singlets?

    Of course, sorry, I have a very lightweight breathable one for warmer weather. For really warm weather they recommended a top to me. It looks kinda like the Canterbury/UnderArmour heat gear stuff but it's supposed to do the job as well. I didn't get it though cos my funds were a bit low so I have to wear the jacket even if it's roasting. I usually do my runs early in the morning or at night so it's not so bad.
