Ntl box problem with new tv

    Hi , bought a Samsung today...It cant seem to find my digital NTL box..All leads are correctly and securely in place..Any ideas?

    How did you connect it. Scart to Scart i assume. Did you cycle through the inputs on the tv?
    If the TV has multiple scarts, then try the other ones....there could be a faulty scart on the TV.
    Just make sure the scarts are pushed in correctly, no bent pins, etc.

    Yes scart to scart...Only one scart on the tv! It's driving me crazy! Will have to spend 5hours on hold on the ntl helpline tomorrow:rolleyes:

    Wouldn't blame NTL yet.... Is the box working on another TV?
    If it is, then it's most likely a faulty scart on the TV. Try connecting a DVD player, etc to the TV. Does that work?

    Ps3 works perfectly...Tried my card in another box and it didn't work so must be the problem! The frustration of it all!

    Your card in another box?????...... this should not prevent the tv from showing the ntl box. Even with no card you should see the message to insert card.

    So was your NTL box working on your old TV?Does it still work on it?
    Also you would have used a different lead to connect your Ps3 to the TV and not the scart--scart lead for the NTL box. Try a different scart lead. If the box has a TV marked scart connection,use it as it should switch the TV to the correct input when the box is turned on.

    Don't switch cards between boxes,they're paired together and won't work in other boxes.
