New discount warehouse supermarket called BuyLo opened near Naas and Newbridge. Was in it over the weekend and got some good bargains too. Smaller stock range but piled high and cheap.

    I've no connection with them.

Seems like it will be rolled out if successful according to this article.

Heard about this, can you give more info about prices and the type of stock?

They covered most of the basics.

Fruit and veg as you went in. Then in no particular order washing powder, shampoo, toothpaste, loo roll, pet food, biscuits, colas, juices, curry/bolognese sauces, jams, milk, dairy, meat, ice cream, sweets, chocolate, rice, pasta. Some stuff you could buy in large catering quantities.

I can't remember too many of the prices without looking at the receipt - 3 peppers €1.49, Hagan Daz Cookies and Cream €3.89, 48 Mars bars - around €27.

    I must check the receipt.

    Dunno.
Even so it looks like a real big warehouse. On pic Persil pack on Special offer is 20E while in Dunnes it is 18E. They had to chose smth else to shock us. =)
    However worth to try.
    Thanks.

Apparently they are about to open a store in the newly built premises in John Joe Sheehy Rd in Tralee (opposite the stadium) very soon. I'm surprised to see this building being used so fast, as it has not even been fully completed yet...

This place is kinda similar, but you can order online which is handy. They are based in bray: http://www.cheepcheep.ie/

Clearly a market for this kinda of thing in the current economic climate.
