    Hey guys,
    Just wondering, how best to distribute a UPC box between the kitchen and a pc 10m away, any ideas? I have a winpc card for my pc, thanks

    What do you hope to achieve?
    What UPC box do you have?

    I ask because your PC card probably wont be able to decode the UPC mux, so you'll have to use the decoded o/p from the UPC box => 10m is a very long AV cable.
    Also, with that arrangement you can only watch what the UPC box is decoding.

    Is that what you wanted?

    Yeah pretty much! any chance the signal can be converted from av scart to a standard ariel connection that my winpc tuner can handle?

    Most winpc cards will have a composite or s-video in port and an audio in port.

    You get a cable that is scart on one end and s-video/composite with audio out on the other end and plug this into the winpc card.

    The problem you will have is that you will probably want the PC to be able to change the channel on the UPC box, so you will also want to use an IR-blaster from the pc or winpc card to do this.
