I wish to take part in a triathlon in eight weeks time and i am looking for help in designing a training plan. This will be my first time to take part in a triathlon, but I am confident that i can do it. I will have a good bit of time available to put into training. can train in the morning and in the evening also.

can i do it in eight weeks??

Some background information would be required.

    Can you swim frontcrawl?
If so for how long? 10 lengths? What?
    Do you run?
How long can you run for?
When is the last time you cycled a bike?
    Do you play any sports?
    Are you overweight?

i can swim a good bit alright and would be reasonably ok in the pool . do about 30 secs per length 25m . fitness not great at the moment . cycle about 40 miles once a week but will start to up this. running was never my forte but will improve with training.

just like to know the best way to train and to go about training.
