towels shedding fluff and dye - HELP

Hi there, I moved into my new home 3 weeks ago and still my towels are shedding fluff and dye is still coming off them, how can I stop this........................???? I was thinking putting some salt in with my detergent to stop the dye from running? Can anyone advise? Thanks Niamh:confused:

Have you washed them a few times? If you have and they're not improving I doubt there's much you can do. I hope they weren't expensive? If you have your reciept maybe you can return them to the shop?

Are you using fabric softener? If so discontinue using it, it is very bad for towels and leads to a lot of fibre loss.
Salt will fix dyes so maybe try soaking them in a salt solution.
