I am delighted to report a new species of Nothronychus (one of my favourite dinosaurs) has been found. One could describe it as the awkward cousin of Velociraptor and T.rex. It was 13 feet tall and had foot long claws.
In addition to its imposing claws—a therizinosaur trademark—the newfound dinosaur had a less-than-fearsome potbelly, a birdlike beak, stumpy legs, and a short tail

Blargh! I'd just spotted and was going to post it too.
He looks absolutely bizarre and tbh, downright wrong, especially given that he's supposedly a herbivore. Wouldn't be the first time someone put a skeleton together wrong though.
he kinda looks like he'd amble up behind you and rip your stomach open spilling your guts to the world

Judging by their skulls, the therizinosaurs don't appear to be particularly intelligent dinosaurs. They most likely would have been less intelligent than the majority of carnivorous dinosaurs.

Um... while the giant ground sloth Megatherium probably did live in a similar ecolocigal niche as the therizinosaurs, I don't really get the relevence...
