Sex attacker loses 'killer onion' appeal

A sex attacker yesterday failed in his attempt to avoid extradition to Ireland because his human rights could be breached by being fed "potentially life-threatening" red onions in a jail here.

The High Court in London was told Peter Ivan Dunne (45), from Coventry, had an intolerance to onions -- red in particular -- and could suffer a severe allergic reaction.

He was convicted in October 2007 at Kilkenny Circuit Court of having sexual intercourse with a mentally impaired person.

Jaysus .....I am trying to imagine the number of people that would get done for roidin' some of the members of AH

Killer Onions .......I think he should be afraid of ingesting something far more 'meatier' in prison.

Yeah, the articles just says he had "sexual intercourse" rather than rape or something, I wonder what the law is on all that.

Are mentally impaired people never allowed to have sex with a person with a fully functional mind then? Thats a bit tight. Are they allowed to have sex with each other?

I remember hearing from somebody that worked with mentally impaired people, and apparently a lot of time was spent trying to stop them 'roiding'. Unfair really.

He was originally extradited to stand trial in November 2003 -- and twice the courts here began to try him. Then on the third day of a re-trial in October 2007 he absconded and returned to England. He was convicted in his absence and is now wanted back in Ireland, where he fears he will be jailed, for sentence,

Apparently, this scoundrel is also an absconder.
