Folks I know this has been done to death but just wondering

A timberframe house, How much does an attic conversion cost. what process is involved, For example cause its timber frame how does it work with putting in the steel. What kind of disrumption does it cause.

If I add a bathroom what does it cost extra, How much is a typical consultation by an architect and then how much is the hiring of the architect lastly how do i go about getting it declared a room

Costs, I can't help you with. I have no idea.

In terms of getting it declared as a habitable room, it has to comply with the Building Regulations, namely fire safety. This includes heights of window cills, opening size of window, fire resisting door etc. An architect could go through all this with you
