Problems getting free BBC1&2 Dublin

Hi all, I've tried searching and am having problems with getting free to air BBC1 and BBC2 on my TV. I live in an aparment block in Dublin 5 that has a sky dish (but I am not subscribed to it). I have a Normende (?spelling TV). When I auto search channels for Ireland or UK I only can find RTE 1&2, E3 and a gaelic channel…

Hi all,

I've tried searching and am having problems with getting free to air BBC1 and BBC2 on my TV.

I live in an aparment block in Dublin 5 that has a sky dish (but I am not subscribed to it). I have a Normende (?spelling TV).

When I auto search channels for Ireland or UK I only can find RTE 1&2, E3 and a gaelic channel 4. I have no luck getting BBC1 or BBC2. ~For some reason I cant just manually auto search without specifying a country.

Any suggestions to get BBC1&2? Anyone know the frequencies I can put in manually?

Are you sure it is not RTÉ One, Two, TV3 and TG4? It would seem that you are receiving the Irish terrestrial channels and not satellite channels.

You need a Satellite receiver for Free BBC/ITV.

Only getting RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and TG4 free on a TV without a satellite receiver or cable box is normal.

Read the stickies & FAQ in this forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=55. You don't need to subscribe to Sky to use a Sky dish, but you do need a Satellite receiver.
