i was charging a battery overnight, and there was a funny smell off it, and all around the place. battery was nearly red hot too.
was in the same area where the fumes were for about a good half hour, later that evening got a very bad headache, and was dizzy, weak, and started shaking like mad.......can this be off the fumes if i inhaled enough of them:confused:

drink plenty of water and have something to eat.

if your still feeling the same get your self to a doctor to be on the safe side.

I dont believe batteries produce fumes but a red hot one might.

Lead acid batteries produce hydrogen gas when they are being charged.
I am not sure of the symptoms of hydrogen gas inhalation but a red hot battery doesn't sound good.
Why did you not stop the charging process if the battery started to overheat?

Go to the Doctor, don't get advice from strangers on the internet. Locking this thread, just in case.
