Advice sought on water pump for garden sprinkler

    Hi there,
    I am planning to lay a new lawn in the autumn.
    After seeding I will need a water sprinkler to assist seed germination.
    BUT, my external tap is very low pressure - from a storage tank.
    So I figure I need a pump to generate enough pressure to drive a sprinkler.
    Anyone suggest what type of pump I might need and where I might source one?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Do you live in the sahara desert or something? Unnecessary watering leads to poor root development. Sow your lawn in september and the only time you might need sprinklers is if there is a drought after germination begins. Let nature take its course and roots will grow downwards towards moisture and nutrients.

    EHHH!! Doctors differ and patients (or grass) die !! :)

    I am no expert on sowing lawns but I did ask the advice of a very experienced and highly qualified professional grass expert. He was very insistent that a sprinkler is essential (except of course if there is a regular daily supply of rain). But I will go back to him with your comments.
