Golf VI DSG - Slight noise from Accelerator

    Hi folks.

New Golf and there is the tiniest of whistle/squeeking noises when tipping the accelerator pedal at times. So low that you would not hear it when the radio is on and only lasts a second or two.

I have isolated it to the degree that the pedal itself does not squeek when the engine is off, and it only appears to happen between changes between gears 3 - 5.

Anybody have any idea what it could be? What can be done to clear it?

I don't think it is a garage issue - no lights, and guess they may search and find nothing.

    Thanks

It is a TSI engine, so yeah is turbo-charged.

    i had a GT previously.

It is a definite irritating noise rather than any "music" from the engine.

    Thanks

'music' lol.. sorry but i love turbo sounds.... without hearing it myself i really cant make any other suggestions. oh wait one final question.... if your parked with the engine running and you rev the engine does it make the sound... ???

Does it make the noise as you hit just above 2000 revs? Had this in my mkv it eventually went away never to return touch wood.

It's annoying but VW say it’s a characteristic of the engine.

I know of a new passat doing this from new. A tiny little whistle if you just blip the throttle from tickover
