E Sata. What is it and can I get it for my PC?

Bought an external USB caddy that had an extra E-Sata output , function. It claimed that it was 6 times faster than Fire-wire / USB 2.

Prob is that it is not backwards compatible with the standard sata output in my existing desktop or laptop.

Dose anyone know where I could purchase an E_sata PCI card? I tried a few places around town and they never heard of it.

It is essentially external Sata and it is indeed very quick. Pci cards aren't so common but they can be got:

E-sata is as fast as internal Sata, not limited by Usb speed

Desktops have been mentioned, but it can be added to some laptops also. Newer laptops often come with it, but I added it to my old one with an Expresscard. Very handy indeed (much faster than USB), and its even flushmount so there's nothing sticking out of the side.
