Is it possible for one rg6 to carry both a digital and terrestrial signal?

Hi, I'm currently eliminating another monthly payment by switching over to free view. Unfortunately I can't get rte 1,2 tv3 or tg4 without using an aerial. Does anyone know if it is possible for one rg6 cable to carry both signals from the dish and the aerial at the same time? Unfortunately there is only one cable running from the attic to the living room tv point! Will I need to buy a hammer action dril!! ?

Or you can use 1 combiner in the attic, and a nice wallplate in the living room. I've just done this with an upstairs bedroom, and the signal seems fine.

Just make sure you get a wallplate that can split the signal back out (diplexed), around €10.

I think you might need the second combiner as well as the wallplate identified in the link, though, as that wallplate has two separate connections.;)

I use 2 combiners on most jobs just bypass the existing wallplate by taking of the metal/green/brown plate at the back of it and run the cable through the centre hole.
