    Hi folks,
I am looking out for a used family car with good boot space. Preferably in the 1.4/1.5 engine size range. Budget is 12k - 15k. Please share your experiences/give me some suggestions, so that i can make an informed choice.

Focus all the way for me ( although a diesel Astra also takes my fancy )

Did someone say family car with decent boot space?

    OCTAVIA :D

But try to get at least a 1.6 or a 1.9Tdi. Insurance won't be much more, fuel consumption will probably be better, but tax will cost a little more.

All worth while paying extra for as the 1.4 is very underpowered for that vehicle.

We have a Focus, lovely car but not big enough for two kids and all their clutter, our second car is this....

The Renault is the car we take every time with the family, the boot is huge. 1.5 is reliable, economical and quick and despite what the Renault bashers say I think in diesel form the Megane is a hugely underrated car.
