a cheap way to get analogue type sound

So recently i joined a local clubbing forum and came across tutorials by this guy. he does a pretty good tutorial for dirtying up drums using an old video player. its all explained in the video http://www.projuice.org/Tutorial001.html i havent tried it but it seems pretty cool,he also has a few other tutorials on there too

Nice idea but I'd love to grab him by that stupid facial hair and give him smack!
