Syncing UPC remote with TV volume controls

Hi, I had to replace the batteries in my grey UPC remote (says 'Designed with UEI technologies' on the back). Now the remote doesn't control the TV volume. So presumably I need to cycle the remote in some way so it 'learns' what TV I have? How do I do this? If it helps, I have UPC digital with a PVR. Thanks, DFD

That's a link to the online manual for the DVR. At the end of the document you'll find all TV/VCR etc codes for different brands. Page 8 shows you how to enter codes into the remote.
