I have a small entrepreneurial idea that I would like to take a stab at.

I however want to get a .ie domain and need to have an association or register a company for the domain.

Anyone know the simple steps to establish either one?

    Thanks means a lot :)

Register a business name as a sole trader if you are on your own. A RBN is enough to secure a .ie domain and costs around €20 if you process it online through the cro website www.cro.ie

A sports association would rarely be set up as a sole trader but rather as a limited company. And a company limited by guarantee at that. Buts its a lot of administration down the line and you'd need a minimum of 7 members to get it going. Let me know if you've any specific q's on this and i'll answer them as best i can for you.
