Bass problem

    OH has an electric bass guitar which works fine playing through a standard amplifier.

    The guitar also works through electronic tuners etc. so the line out from guitar is working correctly.

    However, when playing at music venues, where there is a P.A. system (which plays through monitors) it does not work at all. Sound engineers seem baffled by this as other electric basses plugged into a channel on the P.A. have no issue at all. Is it internal wiring or resistor problem?

    They'll need a DI box in order to run it into the PA.

    I assume any soundguy with half a brain would know that, but I can't think of anything else that might cause it!

    But seriously though... Why would the bass stop working because it's being connected through a PA? I've plugged a bass direct into a mixing desk before and then from that onto a PC with no problems... Maybe the OP should be more specific.

    That's the only issue I can think of... except maybe a dodgy cable.

    Maybe try another bass.
    If that works at least you know it's your bass
    If that does'nt work could never be something to do with the input frequency?? I don't know why
    It does sound like a mad one
