    Thinking of heading over to Manchester for a weekend with herself, based on a recommendation from a relation. Whats it like to visit? Much to do or see?

    Cheers. My brother in law suggested maybe Edinburgh or London instead of Manchester. It was my aunt who recommended Manchester to me for the shopping etc.

    Not sure now :)

    The shopping in manchester is pretty good, there are some great restaurants there too especially along the 'curry mile' (literally a mile of curry restaurantys) i have tried a few of there but cannot remember all the names but just stick to the old if it is busy rule.

    Also for the sake of it try Harry Ramsdens out my old trafford it is a nice piece of fish and chips if you are doing the old trafford tour.

    Not too fond of the place for a night on the beer as it is full of stag and hen nights and gets messy.

    For shopping you need to go to the trafford center it is massive.

    sangam at one end of the curry mile is the best!!
