Happened to myself and a few friends a few months back. The area around UCC has become known for egging and water ballooning from cars. It was 1 in the day and we were coming back from the shop with rolls and drinks.

Idiots in a Prelude throw something out and just missed us but only got to about 10 feet when the pedestrian crossing stopped them, the passenger window was open so they got 4 bottles of opened milk thrown in.

Happened to me in Derry once. I was cycling home from work (tech support) at 2am. Some scumbags in a souped up Corsa or Clio shouted at me as the flew by, then they came back the other way and did it again and again.

They didn't expect me to lob my bike at their windscreen when they did it the fourth time.

I missed, by a long shot, but it did the trick.

Several things to bear in mind:

A - I was lucky they didn't stop and give me a kicking as the streets were deserted.

B - If I did hit them I could have caused a fatal car crash.

c - I broke the rear derailleur and bent the wheels.
