Never mind ripoff ireland, are there any any items cheaper here than in the north, excluding diesel and petrol?

People have pointed out cheaper things in several threads.

I expect people from up north do the same self-patting on the back that posters here do, i.e. come down and get a really good deal in the republic, then go back up north and find a shop with the same or similar item at an exceptionally high price and congratulate themselves on the massive saving they made, while bitching about the high prices in their own country.

I expect every country has people who like to think they are particularly hard done by.

Think the cigs work out more expensive in the North, in the pubs anyway where they only put 16 in the box. At least this used to be the case. Mind you @ 8.45 for a box of 20 here now we have surley overtaken them at this stage?
