It was only after three router restarts, much hairpulling, cursing and a far larger tantrum than a 27 year old adult male should admit to having that I decided to read the notification on the xbox live status page stating that it would be down for maintainance on June 16.

    /facepalm

    you're not the only one:D

God I'm glad I didnt renew, or I probably would have smashed the wii(it causes networking issues, still dunno why) in order to try and get it back online.

    Steam, get it.

I got the message, but only remembered when I tried to fire up CoD this afternoon. So I played single player for a few minutes before remembering why I dont play CoD single player. :)

The older kids were in school, and the youngest was out helping his mother max out my credit card, so I took the opportunity to re-test Call of Duty and make sure it was still unsuitable for children. As a conscientious parent, I test it regularly. Very, very regularly.

You never know when it may become self aware, and try to influence the kids to join its electronic legion after all...

    Or was that skynet?

See you get yer ass kic... oh wait that's the other thread.

Yeah it's gonna be a good one alright, really looking forward to it, all we need now is for it to not piss out of the heavens that weekend and we're all set for the most epic airsoft even Ireland has ever seen. Whatever about the cup, I'm looking forward to the special closing event, sounds like a ridiculous battle royal to me.

Do ye reckon that the People working in Customs Remember our names and addresses
when it comes to getting airsoft gear in ?

Not as in, our names and addy are in a computer but as in, the Bloke or Gal doing their
job inspecting incoming packages see's a gun like object and they go
ahhh its Joe Bloggs from Limerick ordering more stuff again.

I've often pondered what the people working on the line so to speak that deal
with incoming packages think when they see airsoft gear and if they say the same
address or persons name coming up over and over again on paperwork to
they become familiar with our buying habits.

They may even have to keep records, surely they must have some sort of record of things, otherwise it'd make checking through orders for airsoft shops a nightmare, whether they keep records of private individuals I dunno. I've never had anything delayed too long, or indefinately, but I haven't ordered any AEGs from abroad for a while, certainly not since the everything getting stopped shenanigans started.
