10 Commandments - A Mnemonic

I could never remember the 10 commandments until I came across the mnemonic, "Gods and Idols Swear on Sunday, Parents Kill Adulterers, Thieves Lie and Covet."

People would say, "What should the punishment be for breaking the sixth commandment?" And I wouldn't know whether they were talking about Sunday shopping, sex or murder.

But now:
1 Gods, 2 Idols, 3 Swear, 4 Sunday, 5 Parents, 6 Kill, 7 Aduterers, 8 Thieves, 9 Lie, 10 Covet.

And I can confidently announce that I don't agree with capital punishment instead of muttering that I often pop out to the shops if I've forgotten something.
