Hiya, I was married in December 07 and made my own flowers. I bought grand prix roses and surrounded them with chrysantheums surrounded by folded Aspidistra leaf, the bridesmaids were similar without the chrysantheums and with babys breath instead.

My bouqet and 3 bridesmaids cost me around €60 altogether and it really only took around 30mns, it was very very easy.

To top them off I got diamante pins from ebay.

you'll see mine in that pic and theres some with bridesmaids in that set also.

No I didnt have time to do the church flowers, I got the florist to do those but they only cost aroun 200, I got large christmas bows in the pound shop, 2 euro each, for each pew end so I didnt need loads of flowers.

I reckon the church flowers could be done easy enough if you have the time but I'd consider paying for them and just making the bouqets just to save yourself the stress.

I'd just go for flowers you like! Its your day so make it special to you. I've heard great things about the slowers from the smithfield market.
