not looking forward to either history or business

History i couldnt care less about as i dont plan to do it in leaving cert
Business i like but i hate the accounting part of it so i hope i get through it

asked one of my teachers if i could drop to pass history on the day he said it shouldn't be a problem

After Business and French nothing else is worrying me, languages and working with maths means study and I hate studying.

Science and History is just a memory game

Don't give bull answers though or whatever or you will not get an A no matter how easy it is.
The results have to be in a bell curve so the best answers get an A

I was most worried for maths and for irish because my teacher is an idiot and never taught us anything. Next thing I'm worried for is home ec and history because we never got the course anywhere near finished. Does anyone know how to write a good history or home ec answer? Or links?

I'm bricking it about home ec too so yes advice on that horrid yoke of a subject would be lovely.

For history just start form the start and throw in all the information you know no matter how small but try and get the important stuff too ;) Think of it as a line per mark. if it's a 12 mark question do between 12 and 18 lines or something like that. You don't have to end it with a fancy line like "that is why blah blah" or "and that's what blah blah" you can end it with anything as long as it's relevant :) I got 90% in me history mock and that's mostly just what i did :pac:

cool thanks.:):D I can't tell if my bad mock history mark was me or an angry examiner.

    Long Questions
Q.1. Evaluation of nutritional value of foods
Q.2. Usually something about food groups
    Q.3. Consumer Studies
    Q.4. Social && Health Studies
Q.5. Efficiency In The Home (eg.)room planning, insulation, lighting etc.
    Q.6. Fibres && Fabrics

Well it wasn't nearly as bad as I was worrying beforehand :). Honour at least methinks. What'd you think?

Other than Business the only other one I have been properly concerned about is History. 49% in the Mocks. They were the only two I didn't get an Honour in.

I need to learn me some essays ;)

Was pleasantly suprised bout paper 1. Just came in and checked my layout from the Trading,Profit and loss Appropraition A/C and Balance sheet and from what i remember i filled most things in right so..
Id be delighted with an honour, think i might have just got one.
History im absolutly terrified abou I got 42% in the mocks.:o U do science? I got 21% in the mock so another disastrous (sp?) subject for me!

After French tomorrow I'm totally done all I care about. History, Science and metalwork are as my metalwork teacher described as important as the "knob on the top of a walking stick". Yes he's a little strange :)

I haven't a clue when it comes to T,P+L A a/c's. I can get as far as the Net Profit then I'm stumped.

I'm quite good at Science which is why I like it :D...that and our teacher is hot...

I think I scraped a B on the Mocks, so I'm not too worried about it tbh.

She lost my mandotory book though with all my experiments she said she signed it off to say i had them done but i duno? so i duno hw many% im gona have goin in:(

Yeah, sometimes you get unlucky and get mixed around with different teachers all the time. I had 4 Maths teachers in First Year alone . Luckily we managed to stay with our current teacher for the last two years and she's quite good.

AFAIK the experiment booklet is only worth 10% while the project booklet thing is 25% (I could be wrong) so it may not be too bad.

I'm trying to decide which History essays to revise.

History does not need you to revise essays like irish etc

Just summarise a topic i.e. martin luther with 10 points, short and concise.
Revise them and then on the day write these points surrounded by introductions and closings to your sentences and develop the points with your own opinon of understanding.
    Works a charm I swear.

Anybody any good at french? Im hopelessly trying to study now. Im horrible at it got 63% in my mocks ffs-

I'm alright but the teacher is lazy/boring and there's no organisation to what we do. We all just take a snooze in what used to be a worthwhile class. Haven't studied in ages. The best thing about the JC is we'll all have a better idea about preperation for the leaving.

Learning essays works for me. They have all the points contained in one handy supplement :D. Also, I've already got a good few learned already from previous exams, and only need a couple of mins with each to refresh my memory

I was terrified for English, thank whoever that that's over! But French and History today are going to kill me.... I got 93% in the mocks for History, bu then I stopped studying for it altogether. Not smart. The rest of the exams I'm not worried at all for.
