    Tá mé ag imeacht liom means I'm going/leaving. If you tell someone "Imigh leat!" you're basically telling them to feck off!

    Coming is "ag teacht". Hopefully nobody ever has cause to say "Tá mé ag imeacht liom" in the throes of passion - apart from anything else, it seems to imply a certain degree of solitude ...
    Another handy word there is "súnás". I'll let you look it up for yourself.

    Sorry I didn't explain what I was after really in my original post.

    I'm familiar with its meaning as deriving from the verb 'imigh'.. but I'm wondering can it mean 'I am hanging around' also?
