    Yeah i remember reading somewhere a while ago that they weren't but its been so successful now they might just go ahead, would be interesting to do one on a different group, possibly Army, or even a different conflict like A-stan

    I'm afraid so. Series is listed as ended on TV.com and so far no plans have been announced with regard to renew it for another season.

    In fairness, it kind of jumped the shark with that whole "spear of destiny" schtick. Methinks someones nephew got a nixer and it ruined the show.

    The future of the Unit depends on the viewer ratings, apparently it wasnt that popular in the States cause the 4th series was too "plot Heavy", (damn americans *grumbles*)

    But season four does leave a huge opening for another season
