I know we've had enough Carradine posts but this one adds a new twist.

BANGKOK — Police are speculating that accidental suffocation, not suicide, may have caused the death of American cult actor David Carradine, whose body was found in a hotel closet in the Thai capital with a rope tied to his neck, wrist and genitals. Celebrity blogs and social networking Web sites were abuzz with news of the death of Carradine _ best known for the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu." The circumstances under which he died have led to speculation that the 72-year-old actor may have been engaged in a dangerous form of sex play known as auto-erotic asphyxiation.

No, it was known that he was found naked and hung and figured it was suicide, it mentioned nothing about genitals or auto-erotic asphyxiation as far as I'm aware, or at least none of the like.. 10+ articles I read said anything like that.

I use a US forum and when the story broke, a couple of hours later people in the thread were talking about rope around his balls

Generally the Pole in the closet is the best option for tying your rope too in a hotel room. Good weight baring minimal risk of breakage. Light fittings just don't cut it. At home of course you'd have hooks fitted discreetly...
