I think that option is definitely on the table.

What option?.... What Table?......WTF are you on about?

Nothing on the table cos there's no table .

    Nobody knows nothing - zilch - 0

BTW the only reason there's no evidence for a military take down (apart from the fact that it most likely doesn't exist), is simply because no-one is looking for that evidence.
Up until now we've all been hearing lightning storms, loss of communication, automated broadcasts, long hard search, debris/oil-slick found...and we've all been lapping it up...in the instance that it was underhand in anyway, the time to clean up the "scene" and hide the evidence has been ample...and of course when you recant the stuff about debris being found, doubts emerge about what else was "mistakenly" reported...people begin to loose interest, and it becomes another 2 week news item: ie. no new news = dead story.

hahah roswell all over agin? :P
it really is a mystery though, do they have any idea about what happened to the black box? aren't they REALLY durable? are there any islands of the coast of south america that the americans are testing on? like coco beach or wherever they were testing the hydrgen bomb? this is pretty much proposterous but a hi jacking could be possible? taking out a testing facility or something? (like I said its just a theory that I've literally plucked out of the air so please dont ridicule me too much XD)
EDIT: i mean somewhere LIKE coco beach not actually there, I dont know any names of any military testing grounds :P

Even when they find the plane there's a good chance they won't be able to find the black box. The sea is kinda deep.

I think this dellat guy could be on to something here. I expect official government confirmation to follow.
Has anyone blamed George Bush yet?

I think you put far too much faith in america.

Honestly, after katrina, the wars on both terror and drugs do you honestly think they're capable of anything approaching the level of planning and execution it would take to cover up the deliberate distruction of a passenger jet.

Fucking conspiracy theory bollox, makes me want to puke blood.

Just when you thought there'd be a bit of closure for the families...
Its so sad. I'd like to know what this debris is though.

I find myself considering the 'dark' theory in the last day or so.

What I find concerning is the fact that the most recent statements are now indicating that 'no bodies will be found', 'the black box and CVR will not be found'. It does appear that things are being positioned to sweep this under the carpet.

Planes fly that route daily and encounter storms regularly but somehow AF447 is being lined up to be a victim of the weather. The tracks between INTOL and TASIL are busy enough so if weather was a real threat then surely this would be a more frequent occurence or those flight tracks would be made redundant in the interest of safety.

If your head is up to it, there is some good weather info here that relates specifically to AF447's flightpath over the mid Atlantic.

or, y'know, recognising that the atlantic ocean is really deep and big.

I accept that but it appears that the hope of finding them is being ruled out less that a week after the aircraft went missing.

It wouldn't be the first time that a flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder was found in a similar situation.........http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_Airways_Flight_295

And? I really don't see this as suspicious at all

No, but it's not exactly common. I'm sticking with Big and Deep as the most likely reasons.

    Occams razor and all that.

Last I heard on the blackbox issue was that they were waiting for a specialist search vessel that has to steam from France, that has a listneing device capable of locating it. That said, the depth of the water in the region means in all likelihood that it won't be recovered.
Not really good journalism to say the same of bodies/body parts though...if the plane broke up on impact with the sea, then surely we'd see some floating evidence...and bodies aren't the only thing that floats on a plane....none of those lovely hi-vis life jackets? No floating suitcases? A mid air explosion would leave the same evidence, albeit spread over a much wider area...

IIRC at the time of the initial reports the news items were very quick to stress that there was no terrorist involvement...is this a case of protesting too much?
The A330 has an impeccable record, tens of millions of hours flown with no incident of failure due to weather.
Already read some good weather stuff on links from weather.com, but again, I have to wonder at all this "circumstantial" evidence being put online for any and all to see...all very nicely presented for the public.

Sorry for the CT lite thing.

Well the French are sending a nuclear sub to the area with specialist search equipment on board so they have not given up hope on finding it quite yet. But they realise how difficult it will be to locate without any help above water.

You could well be correct and I hope you are. However, it's safe to say that if anything untoward did happen to AF447 it will forever remain speculation from an official standpoint.

The simplest explanation may most likely be the correct one but not 100% of the time - keep an open mind.

I don't think I'm being paranoid - I'm just keeping an open mind.

I'll just wait for a future episode of Air Crash Investigation to enlighten me :D

I would imagine if the plane hit the water slow enough not to break apart there is a fair chance that it ditched nicely, leaving survivors. Otherwise I would think there'll be debris, finding a few small pieces over such a massive area wouldn't be easy though.

A night time landing on what could only be at best choppy seas given the stormy weather...the guy on the hudson had it hard in a smaller plane in good light and calm conditions.
..and that's assuming that the pilot had enough power/impetus to even take the plane from cruising altitude to ditching point, under control.
