This thread looks as if its going to die before it even gets started.

    Bye bye.

I might start a new thread when this one sinks into the distant background if no one else does

The essay was a dissapointment. I did the mobile phone arguement one. Didn't construct it right, made the wrong decision. Apart from that I'm delighted.

In honours English I thought Paper 1 was easy. I was delighted with the debate that came up. I think I wrote a B-standard essay.
I found Paper 2 more difficult. For the seen poetry I did, question 2, and I chose the poem The Daffodils. It was great for part 1 but part 2 was more difficult.
All the seen stuff wasn't too bad, the unseen novel was again, a pain cause I could only use on section.

I hope I get a B for it, my writing was atrocious though. :pac:

    Anyways

Delighted with the papers today, wrote about 4 pages of stuff guaranteed to get a few laughs off the examiner which I did as things that me angry.

I wrote about 24 pages combining both papers, I've already forgotten everything I knew about the merchant of f*cking venice.

Now I am sure Irish and maths tomorrow will be hell. I am pretty worried for Irish.

I thought Paper 1 was alright. Paper 2 was grand too, except I didn't like the questions on the novel. I don't know why, I just didn't...I don't think I answered it well. Ah well. I think I did alright on English. :)

Oh man.. Why do I always do that... Everytime I get to the Personal writing bit I just blabber on about nothing.... then every question after that turns the same as a result and I start getting all giddy thinking I can get away with saying anything..

    I don't take it seriously!! :(

Personal writing bit things that make me angry -- I ended up writing a sentence on ''that colour between red and brown.'' Like WTF am I doing? :P

Then the functional writing first one I just write about Jesus going to college or something...

Did anybody else totally not get that last fiction on paper 2? What the helll was it about? and it was like.. would you read the rest of this novel.. I was like.. um no? it's already made me lose a load of marks on my exams why would I read a novel that I can't understand when I read it over and over 20 times....

    Wowwww... time machine, please?

XD these results are gonna be so bad. hahahaha I can't wait to see what thet give me LOL

    xxxxx

you shouldve just pretended to like the fiction and talk sh1te about it.

i thought both papers were fine maybe i could have done a bit better on the watershed question but the functional writing was good, thank god that michael bond guy came to our school talking about that stuff.

Hahaha I know I should have. But I was in one of my ''write nonsense and hope you get away with it'' moods.. I wrote ''I'm going to be honest... i'm not going to be a sheep and write yeah I did enjoy it.. because I didn't..''
Jeeees. they'll think I have a right attitude!!
And what was everybody elses supervisor like?
I thought they'd be more strict like.... Ours was sat there;; first her phone went off. Then she kept walking out.. then she was sat there eating Weetabix... like WTF? LOL

What did you guys think of the personal writing?

I couldn't think of anything to write so I wrote in the things that make me angry section about how muc h I hate writer's block. Esentially it was an essay about not being able to write an essay.

I hope it doesn't come across as snarky because it started off with me saying that the things that me angry are the 7 essay titles.

I think he was! >.< I didn't like the fiction too much either actually. It was really hard to answer the questions, I think we should've gotten more extract or something. Or easier questions. Like I didn't get when DO or whatever didn't get along with his girlfriend's father when "things got bad at home". That makes no sense! =|

Yeah.. that one.... Like I don't know what was all that about.. it was like talking normally about Nance then it went ''That business of me knocking over the phone was typical'' Like WTF?!! what's that got to do with anything before it.. It was threw in like anywhere..

Wow... that's a really, really good idea!! I love essays like that that aren't typical and boring... That's so cool!

Watershed is a time in which after mature programmes may be shown.

I didn't like how media studies was divided and I wrote very little for the 10 markers. Portia doesn't even have a father in the Merchant of Venice, doesn't she? I'm glad I don't have to read the drivel for another 3 months. I did the trial scene for the Merchant of Venice question.

The theme of the paper was Michael Morpurgo I think (the fella who's "Other Drama" was based on and the Reading on Paper 1)

tbh that just shows the examiner you lack creativity.

that was what i was worried about but the more I thought about it the more it made sense to me because while it seems like i'm writing about nothing i'm writing about writer's block and i started discussing it in detail so it was kind of an essay about the writing process so I hope that it comes of as ironic and unique instead of uncreative.

I think it does.. and I think that despite it maybe coming across as ''uncreative'' at first,, they'd read it and think it was more interesting than the usual boring essay.

    Google..
The story is about Nance and OD.
Nance is an adopted child and she would like to find her mother. She was in love with OD. OD was a great fan of football. His father, Jimmy, didn't raise OD well and his mother has left him when he was young. Jimmy doesn't have a job, but he would like to come back as a musician. He didn't drink anymore. OD didn't do anything for his father and followed his own way. He was a difficult boy. He was dumped by Nance, because he never listens to her problems and only tells his own problems.
Nance's parents, Tom and May, didn't know what was going on with her. They knew that there was something wrong, but they didn't know how they could help her. Nance would like someone who could help her. That wasn't OD, it was Seanie Moran, OD's rival.
Seanie helps Nance to find her biological mother, Heather Kelly. They had found her, but it wasn't easy. She knew how it exactly was, but she didn't tell anything. She said, Tom and May must tell it Nance. Nance thanked Seanie very much. Heather Kelly had called May and May told Nance that she was her real mother and that her father has died.
Nance went in the meantime to Jimmy and OD came home. Nance and OD were fighting and Nance gave him a slap. That night Seanie called Nance, that OD probable had killed someone. Nance thought that it was her fault. They found OD and there wasn't killed anyone. They brought OD home and Jimmy was very ill, but the doctor said that it was alright. Seanie told them that he was gay.
Nance gave OD a new chance and they're in love again.

Daymmm.. I was right first time.

Higher level paper one was so simple! Paper 2 was more difficult and I don't think I did great on the poetry question. What did you all write in the personal writing section?

I did the secret life of a superhero and I wrote that I was the devil and that people have me misunderstood and I'm actually a super hero and save the human race from evil spirits. I don't know is that creative or stupid?
