    Hi,
What's the quickest way to get a 2G .mpeg file onto DVD format so that I can watch it on a normal DVD player?
Also, will any modern DVD players, just play it as a mpeg file?
    Thanks.

Lots of them will, most of them will but it's not guaranteed. High probability though. Depending on the codec used for the sound (assuming there's sound), that's more likely to cause problems.

WinAVI will convert any movie file into a DVD burnable format.

    www.winavi.com

Its shareware and probably the best I have found - it will convert in half the time most others take.
