Hi i have a dell dimension 5000 connected by cable to an eircom netopia router . There are also 2 laptops connected via wireless connection.

I want to move the dimension 5000 to a room that is not wired for a phone line ,and would be very awkward to wire anyway.

Can anyone tell me can i make the 5000 wireless without too much hassle or is it a major job ? Thanks for any help. !

Wireless USB adapter or a wireless PCI card.

you have two options, as Raekwon said, usb (external) or pci (internal).
The usb would allow you to just plug it in without having to open the case. If you go with a pci or pcie you'll have to open the case and install it (not too big a job either).

With the usb you have more flexability. If the pc is just out of range of the router you could use a usb cable to extend the usb adapters range.
