A nuclear powered sterling engine. :pac:

Cause y'know, why burn stuff, when you can get radiation burns instead.

for the moral implications of it i just said the engine would be responsible for nucleur waste which obviusly is bad for the environment.

that k ahmad question on google searches was weird too. It was like, why did a search for 'Google Ireland' and 'Google Irish' return different results? ehh... because you entered different keywords... i think i said the pages from the first search showed up because they had google and ireland in the title and they had high authority but the pages in the second one came up because they had google and irish in the title. bit of a stupid question.

The other Kirshid Ahmad question was weird. It said give four reasons for your answer but didnt say if they wanted four reasons for each part or for the entire answer. Which ones passed? i said the last two.

Ah but you could use low thermal quality nuclear waste to power a sterling engine.

I said they all failed. First two because they required more than paper and pencil, and third because it was unspecific as to "about half". I did note that if the computer were given a more precise definition of that then it would pass the test.

I said they all failed as well. In the last one it didn't say how the numbers were to be sorted. could be 12345 but it could have been 54321 ya know? and it didn't really have any other instruction about how to merge them...

Anil Kokarams questions were very very nice.... ahmads were grand... david taylors were pretty bad... not as bad as tomorrow is gonna be.... :(

on the 'about half way' thing. The algorithm will still give a right answer if it doesnt split it directly in in half. you can just take one number off at a time. so i think it passes it. not sure tho.

i think i was wrong about the second one. im pretty sure only stuff that can be written into a program passes it.

Lads, dont bother with the physics section.
    He throws up filthy questions.
I couldn't do much of his questions last year dispite doing very well in LC Physics.

    Concentrate on the chemisty.

I laughed when I saw Section D. Still was able to do about 75% of Q8.

Fair play! I took one look at it and called it a lost cause.
Question about 1e7 tomorrow: Do we have to know that "Design for assembly, design for maintenance..." stuff? It doesn't look like it's ever asked, not in the last 4 years anyways.

    Dial 1905
Get through the stupid automated system
Veryify number, name, address, DOB and name again(?)
'Hi, could you please send me the Meteor ISP settings for my phone'
'ISP settings for your phone.. they're for connecting your laptop to the internet right?'
'Yep, thats them' (she knows what shes on about)
'OK, I cant send them to you, you need to set this up on your computer'
'No, I have my computer set up, I just need you to send me the settings for my phone'
'Oh.. eh.. ill just put you on hold for a second'
    ......
'Ok.. what windows thing are you running, 2000?'
'Im running Mac OS X, I have an apple mac'
'Oh, thats great.. but I need to know what windows you have on it so I can set this up for you'
'But I just want you to send me the settings. I upgraded my firmware last night and lost the settings. The last time I rang this took about 30 seconds'
'Firmware? Is that like hardware 'cause we dont support any hardware alterations here'
'I just need you to send me the settings'
'Im going to put you on hold again for a second'

at this stage I hung up, rang back, got a competant person and got the settings in all a 20second call....
