Open Water Swim Locations

    Hi,
    We normally swim at high tide at seapoint for our open water swims. Anyone have ay suggestions of good open water swim locations around dublin that are good at low tide? Seapoint's not great at low tide.

    Grand Canal Basin @ Camden Lock (End of Pearse St at Ringsend Bridge.
    Not everyone's cup of tea, but it is a handy swim up to Ocean Bar (1.1km or so round trip) and you can do a couple of loops if you are feeling energetic.

    I think this maybe the same location for the Focus Ireland Tri....

    Obvious one is the 40 foot, always dive in and swim. I think it is ok for a dip but not for distance training. They do have a few bouys that one could swim to and back. Further down the coast is both white rock and Killiney beach which even when the tide is out is swimmable.
