toilet cistern plumbing advice required

    hey,

    Have a plumbing issue. when i flush the loo in downstairs bathroom an almighty whine comes from the cistern. this seems to be happening when the ball cock is lowering with the water level, when it reachs lower level it ceases. does anyone know what the cause is and how can i go about repairing it ?
    any help is apprieciated...

    Its a complicated one to answer. It could be hammering from the water coming in as the ball drops. It could be a restriction on the outlet, I have never heard of it sorry! But this should bring it back to the top. Have you tried reducing the pressure to it by half?
